Summaries: A model of dispersion and stabilization of shampoo emulsions under mechanical mixing in the presence of emulsifiers is proposed. Functional role of emulsifiers as stabilizers and dispersion agents in production of superfine shampoo emulsions is demonstrated. Formulas were obtained for calculating the minimum stable diameter of emulsion drop for laminary and turbulent movement modes of disperse medium under conditions of mechanical mixing with an agitator. Use of formulas is illustrated by an example of calculating the minimum diameter of a drop during dispersion of a conditioning shampoo.
